Satellite Exhibition at Alter Wall 4
Parallel to the main exhibition and the Triennial of Photography Hamburg, the Bucerius Kunst Forum, in cooperation with the Folkwang University of the Arts and Fachhochschule Dortmund, presents the exhibition We’ll Always Watch Together at Alter Wall 4, – just a few meters away from the Bucerius Kunst Forum.
Photography students from Professor Peter Miller’s seminar are presenting new works that, reflecting Gundlach’s innovative spirit, engage with current issues in photography. The works are based on the research findings from the exhibition F.C. Gundlach. You’ll Never Watch Alone, which were introduced to the students and explored in depth during a seminar led by Professor Peter Miller, Chair of Photography and Time-Based Media, and Professor Sophie-Charlotte Opitz, curator of the Gundlach exhibition.
In his PPS. Gallery and in his laboratory, Gundlach collaborated creatively with numerous artists. This is where they experimented, tested the boundaries of media, discarded ideas, rethought concepts and approached photography with boldness. The students take up his enthusiasm for experimentation in photography and further develop it into their own artistic projects. As part of a curatorial seminar in the summer semester of 2026, photography students from Fachhochschule Dortmund, under the guidance of Sophie-Charlotte Opitz, will take on the role of curators for the exhibition. They curate the content, write the texts, design a brochure and develop a social media strategy for the exhibition.
