Better Together. From Cranach's Workshop to the Guerrilla Girls

30.4. — 29.8.2027

To mark the 25th anniversary of the Bucerius Kunst Forum in 2027, we will celebrate the creative potential of community: Better Together is the motto and title of the exhibition. The focus is not on the solitary artistic genius; instead, it lies on the power of collaboration in art – from late medieval workshops through artist duos
of Classical Modernism to the collective protest art of the present.

Collectives, duos, families, and activist groups demonstrate how diverse, productive – and sometimes conflict-ridden – collaboration in art can be. The exhibition opens up an alternative art history that invites us to understand the principle of togetherness as both a cultural and political resource for shaping an open society.

We look forward to discovering together with you how art can become a starting point for dialogue, exchange, and new forms of collective action.
