Current information

Based on the decision of the Hamburger Senat of May 5, 2020, the Bucerius Kunst Forum can reopen the exhibition David Hockney. Works from the Tate Collection (extended until September 13, 2020) to visitors starting May 7, 2020.

The regular opening hours apply (daily 11 am - 7 pm, thursdays 11 am - 9 pm) as well as appropriate hygiene measures to protect visitors and employees. These include, among others: Limiting the number of visitors to 40, a new guidance adapted to the situation and the deposition of contact informations for all visitors, including the date and time of the visit, in order to be able to reconstruct any chains of infection.  We ask you to observe the distance regulations and to protect yourself and others by wearing a mouth and nose protection.

We ask for your understanding that there may be waiting times in front of the entrance to the Bucerius Kunst Forum and ask you to observe the distance rules of 1.5 meters.

In the case of new developments, the overall situation can change any time. On our website we will inform you about the latest developments.

We are pleased that the exhibition David Hockney. Works from the Tate Collection is extended until September 13, 2020. Thanks to our cooperation partner Tate as well as the Hamburger Kunsthalle, the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art in Humlebæk, the Stedelijk Museum voor Actuele Kunstin Gent and a private collection that made this possible.

As usual, you can purchase exhibition tickets online or at the cash desk of the Bucerius Kunst Forum. We kindly ask you to pay cashless at the cash desk or the shop (with EC or credit card payment).

According to the latest decision of the Hamburger Senat, we as a museum are required to collect the contact information of all visitors, including the date and time of their visit, in order to be able to reconstruct possible chains of infection. 

In order to be able to guarantee this regulation, we ask you to leave your contact information in the designated place and to deposit the completed paper at the cash desk. 

We assure you to handle your data with care, to present them only upon request of the responsible authorities and not to pass them on to other third parties and to delete them after the retention period (4 weeks). 

We ask for your understanding that we cannot grant entry if the contact information have not been deposited.

  • The number of visitors is limited to 40.
     
  • The general distance requirements of 1.5 m applies.
     
  • We kindly ask you to protect yourself and others by wearing a mouth- and nose protection.
     
  • You are welcome to use the disinfectant dispensers, which are located in the entire house.
     
  • Wash your hands frequently and observe the sneezing and coughing etiquette.
     
  • The house provides a guidance adapted to the situation: The entrance to the Bucerius Kunst Forum is on the side of Alter Wall. To leave the house, please use the exit to the Fleet, through the Bucerius Book Shop.
     
  • The small elevator to the left of the cash desk may be used by a maximum of one person, the large elevator to the right of the shop by a maximum of three people.
     
  • It is not possible to use the cloakroom, please use the lockers for your jackets and bags.

We kindly ask you to protect yourself and others by wearing a mouth- and nose protection.

No media guides and headphones will be provided, instead the BKF Guide can be downloaded free of charge to your own smartphone.  

In accordance with the current restrictions on contacts, there will be no guided tours and events in analogous form until the end of June. The formation of groups with other visitors is not permitted.

Members have the possibility to visit the exhibition exclusively on tuesdays and fridays from 9 to 11 am. Before your visit, please register by using the Eventbrite link and password sent with the members' mail, or during office hours (tuesdays from 10 a.m. to noon) by calling 040-36 09 96 31.

The Bucerius Book Shop is open during regular opening hours. The appropriate hygiene measures and precautions for the protection of visitors and employees apply.
